# My Goals

In Performance Management, goals are short-term objectives that an employee is expected to achieve within a period.

Once you select the Performance Period, you will be directed to the Appraisal Form screen. Select **My Goals** option as shown below:

From My Goals screen, you can manage your goals and targets for the selected performance period.

You can add new goals by clicking the **Add Goal** button. An Employee can add goals for themselves or a Manager can add Goals for Employees.

## Self Goal

You can add a new goal to your performance form. Select a goal category from the dropdown list and enter the goal description in the text box as shown in the image below:

You can make the goal measurable by switching on the toggle button and selecting the measurable value.

For ex. when you add a goal, select the Goal Category like Productivity Goals and enter description such as increasing the lead generation. If you make this goal as a measurable goal, then you can define it's target value to acheive that goal. Once done, click the **Save Goal** button to save the changes. When the Goal is added you can add results or view the added results to the Goal.

An employee adds the result and can be non-measurable or measurable.
